Reports To: Executive Director – Global Product Strategy and Development

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Lead project teams and manage multiple product development projects through all phases from initial customer contact, VoC activities, design, procurement, production, manufacture and shipment
Act as project team representative to communicate developments, changes and other pertinent information to all appropriate parties on a timely basis.
Produce project status reports. Ensure documentation, assignment, completion and approval of action items generated from meetings with design team, production, suppliers and customers.
Work with customers and sales team to ensure technical specifications, project scope and schedule are clearly defined and reflected in project definition and scope.
Oversee progression of projects relative to terms of quotations and contracts including defined equipment features, project schedule and cost. Plan and implement countermeasures as required to meet commitment dates and schedules.
Ensure delivery of complete and accurate project documentation packages to all levels of management as required.
Track, analyze and forecast individual project costs and profitability.

QUALIFICATIONS
Must have excellent people and management skills to interact with executive management, colleagues, cross-functional teams, and third parties
Must have superior communications and organizational skills and be team-oriented
Must be sensitive to issues of confidentiality
Must be self-motivated and work well without direct supervision or instructions.
Identify and implement process improvements to reduce lead-time of development projects.

Assess process constraints and failures, determine root causes, propose and implement corrective actions.
Willing to travel 25% - 40%

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE BS in Engineering or a related field. Must have a minimum of 7 years relevant project management experience in a new product development environment. Knowledge of powered hoists, manual hoists, and rigging products, and associated distribution channels is a plus.


LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to create reports, charts/graphs and business correspondences. Ability to effectively present information to individuals, or groups, and respond to questions from sales personnel and customers. English competency at C1 level. 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to apply basic and advanced mathematical concepts to such tasks as financial analysis and engineering analysis.

 REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong data collection and analytical skills; strong organization, computer and communication skills; ability to interface with variety of outside sources including research firms and government agencies; exposure to international markets a plus; ability to take ownership of projects from conception to completion.
