2004:
Columbus McKinnon Develops the CM Liberator® Tire Shredding Machine
Columbus McKinnon develops the CM Liberator® tire shredding machine. The Liberator is specifically designed to process steel belted passenger car and truck tires into shreds or chips smaller than one inch. Rubber material produced by this machine can be used for playgrounds, in rubber applications and as crumb rubber feed stock. What makes the Liberator unique is that it also separates the wire from the tire, allowing it to be recovered and sold to the steel industry.
Columbus McKinnon manufactures tire shredding machines at its facility in Sarasota, Florida.
